Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Overview
Taking on training and assessment responsibilities in your organisation? This critical qualification will teach you the basics of workplace training, including the principles and techniques associated with adult vocational learning, the design of learning and training experiences and the planning and delivery of appropriate and valid assessment.
This course is an essential prerequisite for those intending to deliver and assess nationally accredited training programs and highly desirable for trainers and educators involved in any form of adult instruction.

- Whom training is a large part of their job
- With considerable responsibility for training program development and delivery
- Who are responsible for workplace assessments
Course Structure
Three compulsory core programs must be completed to address the ten (10) units of competence required for this qualification.
They may be completed in any sequence or as stand-alone modules.

Training package
TAE40110How do I Obtain the Qualification
- Attend your nominated workshops
- Complete the assessment tasks at the conclusion of the workshop
- You may also be able to obtain credits towards some of the units of competence via Recognition of Prior Learning or Mutual Recognition
What does Assessment Involve
- Assessment is via classroom demonstration of competence and/or completion of Workplace Application Projects
- The Workplace Application Projects require you to compile a range of evidence to demonstrate your competence
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

How Long do I have to Complete the Qualification
Candidates may commence the qualification at any time by enrolling in the course or undertaking one of the modules leading to the full qualification. The course must be completed within two (2) years of the time of enrolment in the first module.
